Supervision & Consultation

East Bay Art Therapy offers weekly supervision for new art therapists who are working on their hours for their ATR (Registered Art Therapist) credential and the LAT/LCAT license in Oregon. 50 of the 100 supervision hours required to obtain the ATR must be with a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). Supervision can be conducted in-person at the East Bay Art Therapy office or remotely through Zoom.

Our supervisors support supervisees with clinical case consultation and exploring topics such as: transference and countertransference with clients, developing healthy boundaries between professional and personal life, self-care strategies to manage compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma, and professional identity as an art therapist. We encourage our supervisees to create personal response art that can be explored together in supervision. Supervisors are available to provide resources and feedback to support our supervisees' practices, including input in the analysis of client artwork and other session documentation or material. We facilitate a natural flow to our supervision sessions, guided by the supervisee, what they would like assistance with, and what they desire to get out of their supervision time.

EBAT Art Therapists are also available to other therapists for clinical consultation on art therapy practice as well as our various specialties.

Private Practice Mentorship & Consultation:

Tonia Herrero (EBAT Owner) is available for consultation and mentorship for therapists looking to start a private practice or practice owners looking to expand into a group practice.

$100/each for 60 min session

Group Supervision: (4 participants):

$75/each for 60 min session
